
The new approach uses triple monoclonal antibodies to not only destroy malignant and metastasized tumors, but also prevented tumor recurrance. This drug (TrimAb) is now in initial human trials.
While mice aren't humans, this is an extremely encouraging result--"TrimAb cleared large breast tumours in 80% of the mice that received the treatment[...]furthermore, the therapy induced a complete cure in 60% of the mice in which the breast cancer had spread to the lungs, liver, and brain."
